DElofts Going Green

•Developers and residents in the River Market area met with Deffenbaugh on Thursday to launch the “first green zone in Kansas City,” said Courtney Beaumont, a lead salesman for DElofts LLC.
DElofts on Delaware Street is getting the first mixed-use recycling container in an experimental program sponsored by Deffenbaugh, Beaumont said. More could be on the way.
“The second I told residents we were going to have recycling, I was flooded with ‘thank you, thank you,’ ” Beaumont said.
Deffenbaugh hopes to expand recycling to apartments and condos across the metro, company officials said.
